Quentin Dupieux’s coherence is so variable. The ones I’ve enjoyed the most – probably because they hang together better and are interesting concepts – are INCREDIBLE BUT TRUE, YANNICK, and THE SECOND ACT.
MadTV? Bad material? Not that I saw very often. The cast was spectacular, and most of the material worthy of the spectacular cast. At its worst, I thought MadTV around 25,000 better than SNL.
Amazing review.
I love Dupieux, but haven't heard of this one.
Now I must track it down!
If you have time you should really check out his time travel movie "Incredible But True"
and his superhero/horror anthology film "Smoking Leads to Coughing."
I haven't yet seen Incredible But True, but I'll definitely be reviewing some of his other movies here (maybe Smoking Causes Coughing at some point).

I do love YANNICK. I've been on the hunt for DEERSKIN for a while, it's only available to rent.
I believe DEERSKIN, and a number of other Dupieux movies, are currently on Mubi.
Ack, I can only subscribe to so much stuff! I see AMC+ has it too. I'll wait until it creeps up on Tubi, thanks.

GHASTLY.
