Yeah, I've slowed down, figured I could write about the movies better. But then I stupidly filled the void with some of the millions of shows I missed when I was down. House Of Cards was the only streaming show when I went to prison! I don't even know if I LIKE TV!
TV is so hit or miss for the commitment. I’m having a hard time too finding interest in the majority of our post pandemic state of cinema at this point.
No, no, it's a good idea. I just have to take Color Out Of Space out of a pretty shaky theme week, where I can find a replacement. All horror plans for October are still in flux for now.
I gotcha. Well if it makes sense and doesn’t mess with your themes I’d love to read your take on it. I wanted to love it but only ended up liking it. I’m a fan of Richard Stanley’s early work and need to give it another watch at some point.
I actually read the short story, so I had some familiarity going in, and I really like Stanley too. Maybe I'll give it a rewatch. I gotta be honest, I've seen a lot of movies in a short period of time for this site, and some of them are starting to bleed into each other, Lovecraft-style.
Wow, so many things wow. Thank you G. There’s a lot to think about here. So much that makes sense and is eye opening to me, and also continues on things you’ve written before…your understanding and perspective come across clearly to me and kind of rock my world with all the parallels to current events.
Glad to hear Ramsey is getting more upcoming work.
Cage’s Pig was another great example of subverting what we expect from these types of action/thriller revenge tropes.
Does that one fit your timeline?
PIG is definitely coming up at some point. Trying to space out the MANY Nic Cage movies I'd be discussing.
Yeah the short story is fun.
I feel that. I don’t see how you do it. And I know your a sports fan too.
I don’t have time to watch much else right now other than whatever I’m covering for my substack each week.

I feel like Lovecraftian Llamas week makes perfect sense.
No worries man. Don’t throw off ur schedule. No big deal. 👍👍

Got an idea. A Halloween season Cage match.
The same week you cover your Cage timeline..say Color out of Space. I’ll cover mine with Vampire’s Kiss?
Just think about it.
Hm, not sure. I have SCREAMTOBERFEST, would have to find space for COLOR OUT OF SPACE. Let's revisit closer to October, I can make it work.

Thank you so much. Let's get the word out on this stuff. People are acting like the information's not out there. Don't let 'em.
What a wonderful write-up! The Hollywood suits could never handle Ramsey
Thank you! And true!
