I really liked this movie and had a chance to talk to Angela Robinson about it (who at the time was developing a Strangers in Paradise movie that still hasn't seen the light of day). Great review!

Right? That comic book was made for a movie, or more likely, an HBO series. I hope it'll happen someday. Terry Moore continues to be one of the most underrated comic creators.

Just saw this headline:

F.B.I. has been using polygraphs to test the loyalty of senior employees

After I finished laughing, all I could think of was this post.

I wonder if Marston knew J. Edgar Hoover ;)

This is an interesting movie in how inert its energy is, I agree. It's a solid watch, it's a "good" movie, but nothing more. This is perhaps the most baffling element of creativity for me: finding that line or element that keeps a well made, well structured, well executed work from ever taking off. It just remains...good.

I dunno, I think it's a Luke Evans issue. There are scenes where I had to be reminded he was there with Rebecca Hall. I don't think he's ready for this jelly.

I've been in prison. That's still a relevant pop culture reference, right?

I have no idea where the reference is from, but I understood it anyway so good enough :P

Re: Luke Evans, he's a better character actor (Gaston! Immortal killer dude from NO ONE LIVES!) than a dramatic lead, it's true.

That's actually a pretty good question regarding Hoover!

But yes, Kash Patel is not a serious person.
